Roane County Family Resource Network is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to connecting Roane County citizens to resources and information that is crucial to the success of children and families. Roane FRN coordinates monthly networking meetings among families , local service providers, and community stakeholders for the purpose of sharing information, making professional connections, and encouraging collaborative problem-solving. We strive to increase community awareness of local and state issues that affect children and families; assist community groups to work together to identify and address local issues, promote the coordination of existing community services to maximize benefits to families and promote opportunities for families to impact decisions that affect them.
Please join us for our monthly meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at noon at the Roane County Family Support Center located at 201 Main Street in Spencer, WV. Lunch will be provided. Please bring your business card or any information you wish to share with our membership. Corie Whiting became the Roane FRN Director in July of 2021. She is a 2012 graduate of Roane County High School and a 2015 graduate of Glenville State College. She completed her master's degree in counseling at Marshall University Graduate College in 2019. She currently resides in Spencer and is honored to be of service to her hometown.

Our team is made up of representatives from various local agencies, community partners, and families who bring a variety of skills and perspectives into the operation of our FRN. Our board advises all FRN operations and strives to ensure our agency is doing business ethically, efficiently, and for the good of all Roane County citizens.
